Growing up in Comfort, Texas Ulysses Mireles showed artistic talent at an early age. In fact, he amazed his first grade teacher when he was able to draw images in realistic detail from his schoolbooks. His love for art evolved and his work was recognized in several art competitions including a scholarship from the San Antonio Livestock Exposition Western Art Show. Today, Ulysses is working on a degree in Physical Therapy and plans to open his own practice. But art will remain his passion and he will continue to commission work. His patrons include Abbie Crenwelge, the Ambleside School in Fredericksburg and KENS-TV, which commissioned a backdrop for the set of “Great Day SA."
